Margaret Mullane PPC has been contacted in regard to the annual "Daggers Celebrate Diversity Day". The Diversity Day will take place on Saturday 24th February 2024 and Daggers will be playing FC Halifax Town in the Vanarama National League, kicking off at 3pm.
The ‘Daggers Celebrates Diversity Day’ first began as the ‘Daggers Against Racism Day’ back in 2010, when the Borough Council was in danger of being taken over by an extreme right wing organisation. The Club, particularly CEO Steve Thompson MBE, decided to take a stand and the ‘Daggers Against Racism Day’ tradition began. In more recent years the name has changed to represent a more positive attitude towards diversity.
On the Day a number of different displays and activities will take place in the car park, commencing at 1pm through to just before kick-off. In recent years, those activities and displays have included the members of the NHS, the British Army, the Progress Project, and the Metropolitan Police, to name just a few.
Tickets are discounted for Diversity Day if bought in advance. You can find more information and buy tickets here: https://daggers.ktckts.com/event/dag2324h18/daggers-v-fc-halifax-town?mc_cid=24a5de4848&mc_eid=ff17ae7227
