Margaret Mullane MP has been informed that applications for our 2026 Community Fund are now open to groups and projects located in the Barking & Dagenham and Havering boroughs.
Cory is a London-based waste and recycling business, which has been operating on the River Thames since the late 1700s – each year our fleet of tugs and barges remove the equivalent of 100,000 lorry journeys from London’s roads by transporting non-recyclable waste by river.
The aim of the Community Fund is to support groups and projects that play a role in strengthening local communities, with a particular focus on activities that support Cory’s wider goals of:
- Enhancing the local environment
- Preventing waste and growing the reuse economy
- Developing skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM), sustainability, recycling, reuse, and waste management, as well as on the River Thames
