This week The Habbit Factory contacted Margaret Mullane MP asking her to share details of their new vacancy. They are recruiting for a new Community Engagement Officer to join the team this summer. Applications close tomorrow.

This is a key role at the heart of our work, supporting our members, families and volunteers, and helping us continue to deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality experiences across both our Membership and Education & Outreach programmes. It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people, committed to inclusive practice, and confident in pastoral and safeguarding support. A quick snapshot of the role:

  1. Full-time, permanent position
  2. £27,200 per year plus benefits
  3. Based across our Havering and Barking & Dagenham delivery
  4. Start date: Monday 1st June 2026

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, people-focused, and ready to be properly in the room with our young people.

Key dates:

  1. Application deadline: Thursday 9th April, 9:00am
  2. Interview invites: by Thursday 11th April
  3. Interviews: Tuesday 14th April (between 9am–4pm)
