Margaret Mullane MP has been written to regarding the public consultation held between 28 March and 23 May 2025 proposing to expand the Superloop express bus network in east London with new route SL12 between Gants Hill and Ferry Lane in Rainham, via Romford.
The following updates have been confirmed by TFL since the end of the consultation:
- A bus stop change in Romford to serve stops Y and Z (instead of stops V and T) to provide customers with a greater choice of bus routes for onward journeys
- A reroute in Rainham to additionally serve Rainham Tesco bus stop F in both directions
- It is expected new route SL12 will be introduced during 2026. The route will run every 12 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 15 minutes during Sundays, evenings and early mornings.
Margaret is delighted by TFL’s announcement of the introduction of the new route of the SL12 between Gants Hill and Ferry Lane via Romford. Margaret understands the importance of improving public transport in Rainham and Havering and is eager to work with TFL to push for further improvements.
